Mr. Halttunen is focused on criminal law in his practice. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Halttunen worked as a police officer where he had assignments including detectives, training officer, major crash investigator, and drug recognition expert. Mr. Halttunen uses his background to carefully analyze police reports and to find the flaws in the prosecutors case. Client of the firm was facing multiple charges including Manslaughter in the First Degree. Mr. Halttunen noticed a defect in the indictment. That defect was challenged at trial resulting in the most serious charge being dropped.
Client was facing domestic assault charges. Mr. Halttunen took the case to trial and was able to demonstrate that the claimed injury was not caused by the client resulting in an acquittal.
Client was arrested for a Marijuana DUII. Mr. Halttunen was able to identify violations of the client's constitutional rights. Mr. Halttunen wrote a motion to suppress the evidence and the case was dismissed.
